Answers to what you might be wondering before you dive in.

Filmmaker holding a professional cinema camera

What is Frame One, exactly?

A place for people who love movies. You’ll find film news, reviews, breakdowns of how scenes work, original stories and scripts on the blog, and courses and workbooks when you’re ready to learn hands-on.

Do I need to take a course to get value here?

Not at all. Most of the site is free to read: the blog, film analysis, and news. Courses are there for when you want to go deeper and actually practice a craft, not the only reason to be here.

What’s on the blog?

Film news, movie analysis, breakdowns of how favorite scenes were built, and original short stories and scripts.

Do I need any experience to start?

No. Whether you’re just curious about how movies get made or already writing your first screenplay, there’s something here at your level.

Can I buy one chapter instead of the full screenwriting series?

Yes. Each chapter is sold individually, or you can get the complete series at a lower per-chapter price.

Where do the examples in your courses come from?

Exclusively from real, produced films. We never use invented scenarios to teach a principle.

Will there be courses on directing and acting?

Yes, both are in development, along with practical workbooks covering budgets and production notes.

Can I suggest a topic or a film for you to cover?

Yes, that’s exactly the kind of thing this community is for. Reach out through our social channels and tell us what you’d like to see.
